TO GRADUATE WITH A FILM & MEDIA ARTS MAJOR, you must complete FIVE film/video/TV projects that were graded at a B+ level or above. FVP projects are not allowed except by special permission. Projects that were completed outside of the classroom are welcome (from internships, on your own, for clients other than those in PFC) but must be evaluated by the Senior Capstone professor to determine if they are B+ level or above.
This means you should plan to take three production courses beyond the required ones that include a project as the final outcome. If you take fewer than three, you will be in danger of not completing an adequate senior portfolio.
Example: a student chooses the Sundance trip, Media Performance and Photojournalism as their three electives. None of these electives ends in a video or film project. The student is in serious trouble as a senior because he/she cannot meet the senior portfolio requirements.
Ignore specific dates on the attached document. Dates are updated each year for Senior Capstone students. What is required for the portfolio generally remains consistent.
